Joseph E Sleiman MD was born in Beirut, Lebanon. He attended the University of Houston where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. He completed his Medical education at the University of Texas Medical School – Houston
Dr. Sleiman received his medical doctorate degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch – Houston. He completed a dual residency program in Internal Medicine and Family Practice at the University of Texas Medical School – Houston and Texas A & M College Station respectively.
Dr. Sleiman is diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians and diplomat of the American Board of Obesity medicine. He has been practicing Medicine in Houston since 2000.
Dr. Sleiman is committed to providing his patient with an exceptional level of care and attention in delivering, traditional family medicine for the entire family.
Dr. Sleiman enjoys helping his patients look their best with the latest technology, from body contouring and medical weight loss to anti-aging and skin rejuvenation.
Dr. Sleiman also offers the safest, most advanced laser liposuction. He performs all liposuction using the tumescent technique, eliminating the risks of general anesthesia.
Elizabeth George, PA-C is our Physician Assistant who provides care to our patients here at Clinic 45 alongside Dr. Joseph Sleiman.
Elizabeth was born in Mumbai, India and was raised in Houston, TX and has lived here most of her life. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Houston Baptist University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in New York at New York Institute of Technology.
Elizabeth has a background in Internal Medicine and has been with us since mid-2016. She provides care to our weight loss patients, medical patients including well woman visits and is trained to perform Botox injections, as well as our highly innovative Femilift procedure for a better feminine life.
Elizabeth is very passionate about her work, loves to follow up with her patients to make sure they get the best care and finds this profession very rewarding. “I currently live in Sugar Land with my husband, but there is no such thing as a commute when you love your job.”
Jolly Abraham, PA-C is our Physician Assistant who provides care to patients at our Spring Branch-Houston location!
Jolly was born right here in Houston, TX but raised in Tampa, FL where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida. She then moved to Chicago, IL where she pursued her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
After deciding to start and raise a family, Jolly and her husband moved back to Houston where she continues to be a PA. She has been a PA for 11 years with a background in Family, Emergency, and Geriatric Medicine.
Jolly is very passionate about weight loss and helping patients look and feel their best! She herself has currently lost over 50 lbs (and counting!) on our weight loss program! She states, “ Because of my own weight loss struggle, I am super passionate about helping people be healthy from the inside out, not just lose weight.
Our food plan allows you to do just that, eat delicious foods that are good for you AND that makes you feel like you’re NOT even on a diet!”
Jolly is also mom of three young children. In her spare time, she loves to read, shop, travel, and constantly learn new things!
Maribel was born and raised in Edinburg, TX where she attained a Bachelor’s then Master’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Pan American. She have worked in the medical field since 2000 and has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2011.
Maribel moved from South Texas, an area known for high obesity rates, to the Austin area, one of the fittest cities in the country, in 2012.
The impact obesity has had on family, friends and the majority of her patients has generated a strong desire in her to assist clients in their journey to a healthier way of life.She has worked at the North Austin Texas Weight Loss Clinic since 2014 and has witnessed amazing transformations.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website (2018), “Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer, some of the leading causes of preventable death.”
She has have witnessed some of our diabetic patients improve their conditions to the point where their primary care givers are able to discontinue some of their medications and patients who suffer with issues such as depression improve their quality of life through the assistance of our weight loss program.
Maribel hopes to be an inspiration to patients, through her own weight loss experience, as we transform into the best versions of ourselves: individually, as a family and as a culture.
Janet Palma is our Nurse Practitioner who provides care to patients at our San Antonio location.
Janet was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas at Pan American and received both her Bachelors and Master’s of Science in Nursing in Edinburg, Texas.
After working in palliative care and internal medicine she decided to relocate with her family to San Antonio, Texas.
Janet has been working with Texas Weight Loss Center on and off since 2015. She has expanded her family while in San Antonio and after taking some time off is our current full time practitioner. After the birth of her youngest children she decided to join our weight loss program and has been successful with her weight loss journey.
“Having seen so many successful patients throughout the years I knew if I committed to the program results would be inevitable. Sure enough not only have I been able to lose weight but I have noticed increased energy levels. I am so excited to continue on my journey.”
Janet spends time with each patient and discusses how our program can be tailored to fit their needs. “What works for one patient may not work for the next person so it is very important to focus on our patients to encourage the best possible outcomes for each unique situation.” At Texas Weight Loss Center our goal is to provide personalized medical assistance for each individual.
Kendel Wille, PA-C is our Physician Assistant who provides care to patients at our South Austin location.
Kendel was born in Las Animas, Colorado but has lived most of her life in the state of Texas. She attended Texas A& M University in Corpus Christi where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in San Antonio at The University of Texas Health Science Center.
Kendel has been practicing 12 years as a PA here in Austin, Texas. She spent 8 of those years working in a Gynecology office where she was known for her compassion and exceptional bedside manner.
In 2015 Kendel joined the South Austin Texas Weight Loss Center team, where she has continued to build long lasting relationships with her new patients, along with getting to experience some joyful reunions with some of her former patients.
Kendel has had a love for nutrition and exercise for most of her life and enjoys helping patients overcome challenges along their weight loss journey. “A lower number on the scale isn’t the only thing I get to offer my patients. The opportunity to see them improve their health and be able to discontinue their diabetes, blood pressure, and cholesterol medications is so rewarding. But nothing compares to their stories of success and watching my patients reclaim the life they have been missing out on.”
With 8 prior years of Women’s Health experience, Kendel is excited that her office also offers the Femilift procedure as a non-surgical solution to many of the health issues women struggle with.
Kendel is also a mom to two young children. In her free time she loves spending her time with family and friends, cooking, exercising, and traveling.
